McDonald’s vs Jollibee

Filed under: DThird — alpha @ 11:20 pm

Estong prefers Mc Donald’s cheeseburgers over Jollibee’s. But he likes Jollibee’s french fries more than McDo’s fries. He likes Mc Donald’s Coffee Cappuccino. But he eats the ice cream only. He spits out the gelatin. He enjoys Jollibee’s Peach-Mango Pie. He drinks both the pomelo juice in McDo and dalandan juice in Jollibee. He eats both their spaghetti. He had Jollibee’s pancakes for breakfast. He haven’t tried McDo’s pancakes though.

This is his trademark pa-cute smile. He flashes this smile whenever he sees beautiful little girls. This morning he showed this same smile with matching hinga ng malamim when we passed by a cute little girl in Jollibee. Chick boy!

A Poopie Story

Filed under: DThird, DailyTales — alpha @ 8:06 pm

This afternoon, Estong was nangungulit. He wanted to get out of his playpen. So I pretended I was sleeping. He did stop and lied down on his playpen as well. I thought he was asleep or at least resting so that gave me the peace and quiet I was hoping. And I eventually fell asleep though I had no plans of doing so. I woke up after about 10 minutes and saw him sitting on the playpen. He looked busy. But when I came to look closer, I saw his poop all over his playpen! He got some on his hands as well. I got him out of the playpen and washed him immediately. I smelled his breath to check if he ate some of it. Good thing he didn’t. (Side story: That happened to my brother when he was little as well. The difference is my brother tasted his poop. Yuck! He cried afterwards.) I had the playpen washed twice.

Lesson learned: Always watch your baby even if he is in his crib or playpen. ;D

The joys of motherhood!!!

Imitate Me

Filed under: DThird — alpha @ 12:54 pm

At 14 months, one of the skills that toddlers can do is to imitate others. How does my toddler imitate his mommy?

:: While I was making pagpag (sorry, ano’ng english ng ‘pagpag’) his sheets, Estong stood on the bed while holding our blanket then started imitating what I was doing.

:: I use my foot to turn on the fan. (Tamad na ako yumuko.) So everytime he comes near the fan, he likewise uses his foot to turn it on (or off). (Scary, marunong na syang magbukas ng electric fan.)

:: Since he sees me plugging the fan, he also learned how to plug and unplug it. (Much more scary!) Which reminds me, we should be installing wall fans or ceiling fans instead of using desk/stand fans.

:: Since tamad nga ako yumuko, I also use my foot to turn on the PC. When Estong went near the computer table, he also used his foot to touch the AVR.

:: He knows how to use the tabo during bath time.

:: He knows how to wear (his daddy’s) slippers.
