.:Brushes.:
Recently discovered a site that offers free Photoshop brushes. The site is GetBrushes. I read about it in this blog. The site has nice brushes. I got the swirls I used on my layouts above from this site.

Fort Santiago

Filed under: DThird — alpha @ 10:07 pm

After a visit to St. Jude this morning, we brought Estong to Intramuros for his first educational tour. :D

We first had our lunch at Max’s Intramuros.

~crispy pata bites, kare-kare, ube decadence~

We then went around Intramuros. Passed by J’s alma mater, Mapua, and my dear alma mater, PLM. Iskolar ako!

~no parking pala, kaya pala tinitingnan kami ng guards, ;D~

After that, off we went to our main destination, Fort Santiago.

First stop is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel. It’s a charming, little chapel located near the golf course. It only has 8 pews, 4 on each side. You will pass by a tunnel to get to the chapel. I first saw it when we were looking around Intramuros while planning our wedding. I even thought of getting married there. It’s so quaint and intimate.

We then went around Fort Santiago.

We brought Estong inside the museum but didn’t finish all the display since J was so tired either carrying or running after Estong. The guard even stopped us while exiting through the entrance. But when I told them that we cannot carry Estong anymore upstairs to finish all the display, he allowed us to pass by the entrance. :D

After a quick rest, we left Fort Santiago and went to Paco Park. However, when we reached the park, little boy was already sleeping. Next time na lang, sa next leg ng kanyang educational tour, sa Luneta.

Went to Becky’s for my brownies to wrap up our tour.

I never thought

…staying at home can be stressful and tiring. Nakakapagod mag-alaga. Estong is 17 months and malikot. He’s got some toys pero ang trip na trip nyang kalikutin ay mga plugs at electric fan, pati na din ang computer. I can’t use the computer when he’s up kasi he knows how to turn it off. Makikita ko na lang ang message “Cannot perform operation. Computer is shutting down.” Tama ba naman yun? There are days that he naps for only an hour leaving me very little ‘me’ time. He rests for a few minutes, asks for water, pero after ma-recharge, buhay na naman. But he can be sweet. He will come to me, hold my face then kiss me. At may sound pa na “mmmmmm”. I say “mwwwwah” when I kiss him, so he must have gotten it from me. Thank God for these moments, or else wrinkles will pop out here and there and I might needing be help from a plastic surgeon in Albany :D .

Look!

Filed under: AllMe, DailyTales — alpha @ 10:50 pm

I got a new haircut this morning. I like it. It feels lighter and fresher. And a quicker bath time for me. Since my hair is super straight, they suggested that the ends be curled for my hair to have a ‘body’. I declined and told them that it will take a very loooooong time to curl my hair. I remember I went to the same salon (but a different branch) a long time ago to have my hair curled. At umuwi akong luhaan. I was just not sure if the stylist understood that I wanted a real curly hair and not just a ‘body’. I felt real bad that the salon gave me a discount. But I would say that I love my naturally straight hair and I hope I won’t be needing a hairloss treatment anytime soon. :D

Anyway, this is me now.
