Picture-filled Weekend
Saturday

Getting a cupcake fix at Cupcakes by Sonja.

Various pics inside the store.

We ordered vanilla sunshine, chocolate surprise, red velvet vixen, mocha motion, melt-in-your mouth flourless chocolate cupcake and another chocolate cupcake, the name of which I can’t remember. Our 8 cupcakes cost more than 500 pesos! Read about this store in one food blog and decided to give it a try. The cupcakes cost anywhere from 50-130 pesos. A little bit too much for a cupcake, right? J thinks so, too. That’s why when I asked him how much he was willing to spend for our taste-test, he said 500 is enough. I do like the vanilla sunshine, but I can’t finish the whole cupcake in one eating. It’s just too sweet for my tastebuds. The flourless chocolate cupcake tastes like the no-bake chocolate fudge which I learned from Rachael Ray’s 30-Minute Meals, so there was really no surprise there for me. I haven’t tried everything we bought though. We still a have a few more cupcakes left.
Sunday
Had brunch at Heaven ‘n Eggs at Market!Market!.

Coloring while waiting for our food. Kaliwete?

Our food.

Chow time.
Then we went to Manila afterwards. Wala lang, pasyal lang at syempre kodakan.

Outside Manila Cathedral.
Pictures galore at Fort Santiago. Since Estong was always on the go, J set the camera’s shooting mode to continuous. And so we ended up with tons of pictures, mostly continuous action shots of kulit.

Don’t mind my hair. Ang likot ng alaga ko.

Tingin ka sa camera! {Please, dedma lang sa bilbil, lol!}

Ang likot talaga.

By the lamp post. {Sana lang dumiretso yung poste, lol.}

At last, nagpahinga din.

Uwian na.
~Needless to say, I gained a few pounds this weekend. I was munching on potato chips while watching tv (before bedtime!), then the cupcake fix, then the brunch, then meryenda at Wendy’s (where we slurped up the biggie coke), cupcake, then dinner (with coke, again!). I surely need to cut back on my eating. I will. I just have to finish all the cupcakes we bought.
Ang mahal kaya, dapat ubusin.
