We had Estong’s 2nd birthday party at his grandparents’ house in Marikina. Of all the days, ngayon pa nagkaron ng insect bite sa mukha ang celebrant. The party, although simple, was a lot of fun. He already had a taste of his cake even before we light up the candles. {See the icing on his lips here?} After blowing the candles, we let him play with his cake. And no one dared to come near him when he walked around with tons of icing on his hands. The kids took home a lot of goodies and balloons. We prepared one pabitin at home and we were surprised when we found out that they also prepared 2 more pabitins. But if you will look at Estong on his pics during the pabitin, he didn’t look happy. In fact, he looked as if he was going to cry. Probably, he didn’t want his pabitin to get ruined or he’s just mad that these kids were playing with his pabitin while he wasn’t allowed to touch or even get near it. Hahaha. Bawal syang makilikot kasi habang inaayos ko yung pabitin. The birthday celebrant wore 3 sets of clothes for the party. The first one got dirty when he ate ice cream, the next one when he played with his cake, then the third one thankfully was his last outfit for the day. There were more than enough food. We just requested for spaghetti, hotdogs and ice cream. My in-laws prepared more. We wanted lechon de leche only. They got us lechon. I hope Estong enjoyed his party. We did.

We brought Estong to Fun Ranch for his birthday. It opens at 12 so we had our lunch first at Mario’s Kitchen Tiendesitas. After lunch, we proceeded to Active Fun. At first, I was thinking of getting the unlimited play for Estong but decided to get the 1-hour pass then have it just upgraded later. Good choice as 15 minutes into play time, J and I were both exhausted. J followed Estong around and went with him to the big tube and the slide, and the only way you can reach the top is by going through a 3-level maze. Sana lang may shortcut. And I was following them with a dslr and a digicam on hand. Ang hirap mag-photographer. I never reach the topmost maze though. I was tired and it was difficult to pass through the loose tunnels with two cameras. We left after more than an hour. They didn’t check if we went over the one-hour pass so we didn’t pay extra. We then had meryenda at the Big Red Barn. We ordered their banana split. Pero their banana was not split. It was on a stick, frozen covered with chocolate and nuts. Masarap pala ang frozen banana. Afterwards, since it was Estong’s day we thought it was fitted that we treat him to a spa. So off we went to Little Lamb’s Pediatric Wellness Place for a massage. They gave him a shower first. He was crying the whole time he was being massaged. But at the same time feeling sleepy. He didn’t want to lie down as well, so J and I held him. It was a bit dark in the massage area. Maybe they could hang toys or lamps on the ceiling para smaller kids will be entertained. Three staff went inside the massage area with toys to entertain Estong and keep him from crying. He did stop for a while when the staff sang songs to him, including the birthday song. After the massage, Estong played at the play area of the spa. We originally planned to have dinner somewhere but we were so tired that we decided to go home after.

Got a haircut. I wanted bangs. And bangs I got. Slight lang naman.

The finished product, after much protest from the little boy. We should have brought him to a kids’ salon instead. ;(

It’s a theme-less party. We had a hard time looking for Barney items. Above is the invitation. I had to erase the address as we don’t want anyone crashing the party. Hahaha! As if someone would. My in-laws seem to be very excited about the party. They are doing all the preparations. We’ll just bring the pabitin, cake and other goodies on Sunday, everything else is on them. We’ll try to give them money this weekend. Sana wag tanggapin. Joke! No, I’m not really kuripot. Praktikal lang. Sino ba naman ang tatanggi sa libre???

Enchanted Kingdom photos uploaded here. And while I was browsing thru the photos, I realized that Estong and I were wearing the same exact top we wore the last time we went to EK. Ano ba yan? No surprise for me though as I only have a few clothes to choose from. But Estong has a lot more choices, why oh why did I let him wear that same green shirt again. Oh well.

We went to Enchanted Kingdom yesterday. And we were pleasantly surprised of their enchanting promo for Laguna residents. I’m so glad we thought of going there. I wanted to go somewhere fun but cheap and with lots of photo-ops. And I got what I asked for. I’ll post the link to our pics once I finished uploading them.

I get excited over a new set of pictures. They make me happy. That’s why I always carry a camera with me. I obviously love pictures {as most of my posts here contain pictures}. I enjoy taking pictures. I am still lacking the technical skills though. I still get confused over apperture, shutter, ISO, etc. Hopefully, I get to figure out these things soon.

And here is my model, who’s more often than not uncooperative. He’s been following me here and trying to put the cover on the lens, as if trying to tell me to stop taking pictures of him.

~Party Updates~
Same as last year, we will have a small party. But we will have it at my in-laws’ house in Marikina this time.
Not sure if I will have a theme pa or not. Baka either Backyardigans or Barney. We’re getting the cake from Goldilocks, so they might not have those characters, so probably whatever is available na lang.
Syempre, may pabitin at balloons. Saka spaghetti at hotdogs.
Sana may ice cream din.
